Kansas Bioscience Expansion & Attraction Program

As the KBA works to create, attract and expand bioscience job opportunities for all Kansans, it will partner with the Kansas Department of Commerce and regional economic development organizations to facilitate the expansion and attraction of bioscience companies with strong growth potential. The KBA may offer qualifying companies direct financial assistance in the form of low-interest loans, grants, and bonds. The KBA also works through its partners at the state and local levels to facilitate the offering of tax incentives and job training grants.

Program Goals

Expand or attract bioscience companies with the potential to add high-quality jobs, develop or recruit bioscience researchers, and partner with Kansas research institutions on bioscience research and commercialization initiatives.

Eligibility

  • Bioscience company in one of the following North American Industry Classification System codes: 325411, 325412, 325413, 325414, 325193, 325199, 325311, 32532, 334516, 339111, 339112, 339113, 334510, 334517, 339115, 621511, 621512, 541710, 541380, 541940, 622110
